BIOGRAPHY
After completing HEC and a 3rd cycle in urbanism at the ENPC, Marina Girard-Muttelet held several functions in the Finance departments of BOUYGUES and TF1, before being appointed COO of CIBY 2000, the leading European film production company in the 90’s with most notably 4 Palmes d’Or and 3 Oscars. Based in Los Angeles for several years and then in France, she managed the operations of CIBY 2000, supervising the production and distribution of 37 films (including “Twin Peaks Fire walk with me” and “Lost Highway” by David Lynch, “Secrets and Lies” by Mike Leigh and “Underground” by Emir Kusturica).
She then spent a few years as the CFO of the start-up NETARGET and Chief Legal Officer for DAILYMOTION thus adding to her expertise in the protection of works on the new media.
The creation of CROSSING in 2004 enabled her to put her operational, legal and financial experience to use for her customers. CROSSING is the solution to the complexity and the increasingly technical aspect of copyright management, requiring a wide ranging expertise to cover both classical and new media. Respected authors such as David Lynch, Mike Leigh, Jan Chapman, producer of several Jane Campion films, and Philippe de Broca’s family believed in her from the start of this project, currently around 15 authors or their successors are on board, representing the management of over 100 films.
